Vibrance

In the initial 1.0 release, we introduced vibrance controls, allowing you to increase or decrease vibrance for greater flexibility in customizing your project’s visuals. Vibrance can be adjusted either through the Environment Editor or via a CVar.

Environment Editor

  1. Open the Environment Editor via Tools → Environment Editor.
  2. Create a new environment preset or select an existing one.
  3. In the Constants tab, navigate to Image Settings.
  4. Locate the Vibrance slider and adjust it to your preference.
  5. Your chosen settings will be saved within the environment preset and automatically applied whenever that preset is loaded.

Vibrance Settings in the environment editor:

CVar

If you prefer not to use the Environment Editor, or if you want to control vibrance dynamically through Flowgraph, you can use the corresponding CVar.

  1. Open the console.
  2. Enter the following command:

Replace X with your desired vibrance value. The change will take effect immediately and can be integrated into Flowgraph logic for runtime adjustments.

Vibrance Values

  • Default (0): Vibrance is disabled, producing the standard CRYENGINE look.
  • 1: Recommended for more natural and realistic color rendering.
  • 2 (Maximum): Creates an exaggerated, highly colorful world — best suited for stylized projects.
  • -1: Converts visuals to black and white.
  • Float values (e.g., 0.5): Supported for fine‑tuned adjustments between the main presets.
